Part-time Chef

Description

Main Responsibilities The part-time chef is required to report work progress to the head chef, with duties detailed as follows: Prepare meals according to the Hong Kong Sports Institute Elite Athletes’ Nutrition Menu and recipes prescribed by the head chef; Independently cook all dishes specified in the Hong Kong Sports Institute Elite Athletes’ Nutrition Menu; Assist the head chef in menu planning and developing standard recipes, as required by the nutritionist; Assist the head chef in executing various food & beverage kitchen operations, including buffet service, small and large banquets, premium dining, cocktail parties, and fast-food service; Be responsible for preparing all food items, including hot kitchen, cold kitchen, and desserts; Maintain high standards of food hygiene and ensure a clean, safe working environment; Assist and train other chefs in completing daily tasks; and Perform any other appropriate duties assigned by senior staff. Qualifications Required Minimum 2 years of kitchen work experience; Diploma or certificate in food & beverage / culinary arts or relevant vocational training will be given priority; Experience in managing large-scale catering events and premium dining services will be given priority; Possess leadership ability, good organizational skills, and a strong sense of responsibility; Familiar with kitchen, food, and personal hygiene standards; Fluent in Cantonese; and Willingness to work rotating shifts.
