deTour 2025 Workshop - Bamboo Crafting Lampshade Workshop (29 Nov & 6 Dec)

Using bamboo splints as the starting material, participants will create a personalised lampshade that showcases their unique style. A lampshade is a vessel that carries light, and the interplay of positive and negative space can easily redefine home decor. Participants will learn bamboo crafting techniques in the Bamboo Lampshade Workshop, including splitting, weaving, and paper covering, starting from raw bamboo strips to create a lampshade reflecting their personal home style. By controlling the arrangement of bamboo, distribution of tissue paper, and selection of materials, participants can shape the lighting ambiance throughout their living space. Participants may also choose the lampshade design, with options including pendant and table lampshades.
