deTour 2025 Workshop - Filing and Yearning - Visual Diary (5 Dec Eslite)

In this workshop, participants will create their own personal visual diaries with materials, tools, and tips provided during the workshop.「The level of desire must be elevated in order to have a beautiful future. Design has the ability to influence the foundation of desire.」 ——《Education of Desire》by Kenya Hara Behind every design lies a certain desire or design philosophy. In response to everyday observations and experiences, countless designers have used journals to collect, organize, and record their current discoveries, shaping their desired design perspectives for the future. A visual diary, a container that simultaneously absorbs and generates ideas, often becomes a fascinating work in itself, shaped by the habits and styles of its author. The 「Yearning and Organizing – Visual Diary Workshop」 will explore with participants the various possibilities and meanings of the journal as an interface, draw inspiration from master examples of journals, and use on-site provided materials, tools, and methods to begin creating a personalized visual diary.
