Shop 1053A, 1/F, ifc Mall,, International Finance Centre Mall & Airport Express Hong Kong Station, 8 Finance St, Central, Hong KongThe formation of nine-eyed stone shale (Dzi) can be preliminarily determined as follows: ancient agate, quartz, and rocks scattered at the bottom of oceans, in shallow water areas suitable for the growth of certain lower algae, where algae attached to the surface of agate, quartz, and rocks continuously absorbed silica and iron. Over hundreds of millions of years, due to varying concentrations of silica and iron in seawater across different geological periods, concentric layered patterns slowly formed. Later, these algae-encrusted stones were buried under sediment, the organisms died, and through lithification they turned into rock. Hundreds of millions of years later, the ocean uplifted to become a desert, allowing these nine-eyed stone shales near the Earth's surface to be discovered by us.
