Kody is seeking a talented Backend Engineer specializing in Kotlin to join our innovative team in Hong Kong. As a key member of our engineering team, you will create robust and scalable backend solutions that power our fintech applications, ensuring a seamless experience for our users. Your expertise in Kotlin will drive the development of vital backend services, integrating with various APIs and databases while adhering to best practices for software development. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Kotlin code for our backend services. Implement server-side logic and APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features while ensuring alignment with product requirements. Troubleshoot and debug applications, optimize performance, and implement security measures to protect data and maintain system integrity. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle, from design to deployment, and participate in code reviews to maintain code quality and efficiency. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continually improve our development processes. Requirements Proven experience as a Backend Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on Kotlin. Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns. Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture. Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases. Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and software development methodologies such as Agile. Familiarity with cloud services and deployment environments (e.g., AWS, GCP). Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. About the Role: As a Digital Manager, you will be a strategic business partner, bridging product vision with technical execution. You’ll lead the design, development, and delivery of digital tools (client portals, core systems, marketing platforms) to achieve business goals.
