Description

Role purpose Editors are key members of both the Business Intelligence (BI) team and the regional editing team. They are responsible for editing reports and presentations produced by consultants in BI and other service lines and ensuring they go out as high-quality, client-ready documents. They work collaboratively with report writers and play a role in coaching them to improve their writing. Role tasks and responsibilities - Ensure that reports are well structured, well written, client ready and adhere to Control Risks' house style. This means that reports address clients' key questions; are clearly written, logical and analytical; and contain minimal errors in spelling and grammar. - Liaise tactfully but firmly with report writers to manage workflows and ensure that all reports are delivered according to agreed deadlines. - Provide constructive feedback to consultants regarding their reports and coach them to develop their professional writing skills. - Edit reports from other sub-regions and service lines. - Assist with the preparation of client proposals, presentations and marketing collateral. Requirements Essential - At least five years' experience of copy editing and a strong track record of producing high-quality output - Excellent copy-editing and report-writing skills, including experience of long-form editing - Experience of editing content - Excellent attention to detail - Boldness to reorganise and rewrite documents where necessary - Able to summarise, process and communicate information clearly - Able to think critically and link information to commercial implications - Able to build constructive relationships and rapport with colleagues, playing a role as part of a team - Organised, deadline-driven and able to multi-task under pressure - Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint - Interest in politics and business in the Asia-Pacific Preferred - Experience of editing in a professional services, academic publishing or media environment - Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus

Duties and Responsibilities: Create artwork documents for consumer goods according to customer, legal and safety as well as quality requirements in English (hard copies, digital and video scrips). Proofread artwork documents for consumer goods in English. Check and describe product(s) in regard to looks and functions in created artwork documents (using samples, videos and/or photos). Review product illustrations based on actual product(s) (using samples, videos and/or photos). Create artwork documents based on internal and client quality requirements. Communicate with Design Team and Co-ordination Team on artwork matters.
