EvaGroup Asia Pacific is part of Sopra Steria I2S APAC, in charge of Infrastructure, Cloud and Cybersecurity services. Description: For this position, we are looking for a Windows Engineer to assist one of our client - a Global Investment Bank. You will be responsible for overseeing the project initiated by APAC Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) team. You must ensure that the project deliverables are delivered on time and aligned to agreed SLAs and processes. The successful candidate will be a member of a dynamic IT team and will work with other IT teams in Asia, Europe and Americas, so must possess strong organization skills, have great time management, be organized and methodical in their scope of work. Responsibilities: Technical Management Responsible for the overall BAU support operations of IaaS systems in APAC (infrastructure in Australia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Japan) and regional oversight of the rest of APAC countries. Must have skills in: Microsoft Windows Server 2012, 2016 & 2019, 2022 Microsoft Cluster and VCS Cluster Microsoft Active Directory PowerShell scripting ITIL 3 or 4 Foundation   Business Relationships Work closely with all major business stakeholders, and any team(s) with direct influence and dependencies. Must know how to build strong working relationships with our customers and partners. Have proven experience working collaboratively with all teams across all departments and with the attitude to work openly, share information, and keep people regularly informed and avoiding working in silo mode.   Governance Follow all CIB and Security policies Contribute to management reports and dashboards Report all variances from Norms and Standards Ensure and practice all production Disaster Recovery and BCP processes are in place Be risk adverse in change management, Incident management and daily operations Requirements At least 8+ years of technical experience. Core Windows Server Administration Advanced proficiency in Windows Server OS (2012 R2/2016/2019/2022), including installation, configuration, and optimization. Expertise in Active Directory (AD), Group Policy (GPO), DNS, DHCP, and DFS. Deep knowledge of PowerShell scripting for automation, configuration, and system management. Experience with Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and patch management. Microsoft Failover Clustering & High Availability Design, deployment, and management of Microsoft Failover Clusters for workloads like SQL Server, Hyper-V, and file services. Troubleshooting cluster quorum issues, network partitioning, and resource failures. Automation of cluster tasks (e.g., node failover, health checks) via PowerShell. Veritas Cluster Server (VCS) Configuration and management of VCS clusters for high availability (Windows) Performance Tuning & Troubleshooting Optimization of Windows Server performance (CPU, memory, disk I/O) using PerfMon, Resource Monitor, and Event Viewer. Root-cause analysis for cluster failures, storage latency, or network bottlenecks. Debugging PowerShell scripts and automation workflows for reliability. Disaster Recovery & Backup Designing backup/recovery strategies for clustered systems. Scripting automated failover/failback processes for Microsoft/VCS clusters. Testing and documenting DR drills to ensure RTO/RPO adherence. Other Value-Added Competencies: Knowledge and experience with Ansible Tower, Ivanti, Centrify, BMC software. Knowledge using or supporting VSAN, iSCSI, DAS, NAS, SAN storage technologies. Have good scripting skills, Python or other programming languages. Have knowledge and experience using Agile methodologies and/or has been part of DevOps teams. Project Management experience is a bonus Specific Qualifications Required: A professional certification in any of the Operating Systems listed.
