About the Role: We are seeking an experienced and visionary Data Governance Manager to lead our data management in the dynamic fintech industry. As a Data Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring data integrity, quality, and security within the organization. Your work will bridge the gap between business users and IT professionals, advocating for best practices in data management while understanding different departments' unique needs and priorities. What you need to do: Data Governance and Policy Enforcement: Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures. Collaborate with stakeholders to define business terminology, data standards, guidelines, and protocols to ensure consistency and compliance across the organization Data Quality Management: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and reliability Implement data quality assessment processes, identify anomalies or discrepancies, and coordinate efforts to rectify issues and improve overall quality Data Access and Security Management: Responsible for managing access controls and permissions to safeguard sensitive or confidential data for their assigned datasets Work closely with IT security teams to attain data access policies, monitor user activity, and mitigate security risks Metadata Management: Provide context and information about data assets Define metadata standards, tags, and classifications to enhance data discoverability, lineage, and understanding across the organization Data Lifecycle Management: Oversee throughout the lifecycle of data, from creation or archival or deletion Establish policy and procedures for data retention, archival and disposal, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and business needs Requirements University Degree in Business Administration, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Analytics, Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 5 years of working experience on data or project management, preferably in banking or FinTech field Experience in driving implementation of enterprise master data strategies. Knowledgeable about data governance practices, business and technology matters related to enterprise data management Open-minded and self-motivated team player with a "can-do" attitude Proactive with strong problem solving, communication, influencing and negotiation skills Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Implement robust data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance and quality. Establish policies for data management, security, and privacy. Data Platform Ownership Oversee the data warehouse, big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Dataworks), and ETL processes. Ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency of data infrastructure. Experience: 12+ years in data management, with 5+ years in leadership roles at internet/lending/fintech companies. Technical Skills: Expertise in data architecture, big data technologies, AI/ML frameworks and cloud platforms. Agile Proficiency: Certified Scrum Master or proven experience in agile environments. You’ll lead the design, development, and delivery of digital tools (client portals, core systems, marketing platforms) to achieve business goals. Embedded in agile squad teams, you’ll collaborate with Product Owners, UI/UX designers, BAs, and Tech Leads to validate ideas, design solutions, and orchestrate cross-functional resources (frontend, backend, data, QA) for flawless delivery. Delivery Phase: Mobilize and manage cross-functional resources (frontend, backend, QA) to deliver outcomes on time and within budget. Mitigate risks, resolve blockers, and ensure alignment with compliance/security standards. 4. Performance & Optimization Define KPIs (e.g., user engagement, conversion rates, system uptime) and monitor post-launch performance. Iterate on digital solutions using data-driven insights and stakeholder feedback. Requirements 8+ years in digital product management/technical project management, fintech experience required. Proven track record in delivering client portals, financial systems, or SaaS platforms. Strong technical acumen: Understand APIs, cloud infrastructure, frontend/backend architectures, and data flows. Agile/Scrum expertise with tools like Jira, Confluence, or Figma. Exceptional stakeholder management skills; ability to influence Product, Tech, and Marketing teams. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or related field. Certifications such as PMP, Scrum Master, SAFe; experience working with DevOps/CI/CD pipelines would be advantageous.
