The Sino-Vietnamese War occurred in 1979, triggered by Vietnam's pro-Soviet and anti-China stance after reunification, its invasion of Cambodia, and border provocations. China launched the 'Punitive Expedition Against Vietnam' as a warning, launching attacks from Yunnan and Guangxi directions. Approximately 220,000 PLA troops participated, conducting surprise attacks on Vietnamese forces, then withdrawing back to China in March 1979, marking the end of the war with China's withdrawal. The watch commemorates the Counterattack Against Vietnam, keeps accurate time with minimal error; the crystal measures 36mm excluding the crown. In 1972, the first batch of unified caliber ZSE mechanical watches named 'Baoshihua' (Gem Flower) was successfully trial-produced at Shanghai No. 2 Watch Factory, achieving timekeeping accuracy within ±30 seconds per day, meeting the Ministry of Light Industry's Class One watch standard. In January 1974, the ZSH-type Shanghai brand unified caliber mechanical men's watch entered mass production at Shanghai Watch Factory, successively designing and developing the ZJH-type mechanical medium-sized watch, 19-jewel ZSH/1 and ZJSH mechanical calendar men's watches, and the 25-jewel ZCSH mechanical automatic men's watch, forming a complete product series.
